How do you interpret the triple 6? What could this very controversial triple number 6s mean? Is this really the “sign of the beast?” Most people believe that 666 is an evil number though others say it is all in the mind of a person or his consciousness whether this number is evil or not.
There are details in the Bible that could interpret 666 as an evil sign or the mark of the beast. Below are some passages of the Bible that could relate to 666 or mark of the beast.
Some of these are:
“Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let him who has understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number, its number is six hundred and sixty-six.” (Revelation 13:16-18).
“A “new” world economic and military superpower that will represent the final prophesied revival of the ancient “Holy Roman Empire” (Daniel 2:31-45, Revelation 13:1-3, 17:9-14).
“A Satan-possessed human who will eventually become its absolute ruler, while claiming divine status” (Revelation 13:4-6). The “beast” is a term used to describe both this human, and the great political/religious superpower that he will lead.
The right and ability to buy, sell and work (Revelation 13:17).
The personal acceptance or refusal of the “mark” of the beast (Revelation 13:16).
But where was the number 666 came from?
In my article titled “The Sacred Magic Square of 666”, the number 666 comes directly from the worship practices of the city of Babylon about he time of the Bible prophet Daniel. The people of Babylon worshiped gods that were associated with the sun, moon, visible planets of our solar system, and certain of the stars involved with the practice of astrology.
The Babylonians were the principle developers of astrology, as we know it today. In their worship system, they had 37 supreme gods, and one of these, the god associated with the sun, was supreme over all the other gods. These people believed that numbers in some way had power over the gods they worshiped.
However, they had to create numbers that they could assign to the gods so that they could have power over them. To do this, they counted their gods and assigned a count number to each of the 36 lesser supreme gods, and then added up all of these numbers (from one to 36) and assigned the sum to the sun god.
The first god they counted got the number one assigned to it, and the second god they counted got the number two assigned to it, and so on up to all 36 lesser supreme gods. Now, if you have not guessed it by now, the sum of the numbers from one to 36 totals 666, which they assigned to the god associated with the sun.
“A great religious leader who will support the beast. He will perform spectacular Satan-powered “miracles” that will deceive a majority of the citizens of every nation on earth into obeying and actually worshiping the “beast.” (Revelation 13:4, 7-8, 12-14).
They did the calculation like this:
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 + 14 + 15 + 16 + 17 + 18 + 19 + 20 + 21 + 22 + 23 + 24 + 25 + 26 + 27 + 28 + 29 + 30 + 31 + 32 + 33 + 34 + 35 + 36 = 666
However, they went further. They feared these gods and worried that one of them might strike them down sometime, so they made amuletswith a 6 x 6 matrix of the numbers one through 36 on them. Today we call these numeric matrixes magic squares.
The design of the amulets was to achieve a magic purpose, and they evidently believed that wearing a particular god’s number would protect one from a specific god striking them down using his power of magic.
In my article published in Balita Tabloid titled “666, Dapat Bang Katakutan?”, i also discussed about 666 sign in Filipino though i also mentioned fear of the 666 is called Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia.
There were world leaders in the past that believed to be bearing the “Mark of the Beast” including Martin Luther, Henry VIII, Robespierre, Napoleon Bonaparte, George Washington, Adam Weishaupt, Lenin, Adolf Hitler, Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Chruchill, Harry Truman, Prince Charles, King Juan Carlos ng Spain, Mikhail Gorbachev, Bill Clinton, Osama Bin Laden, the father and son George Bush and all the Popes in the Vatican.
This interpretation is opposite to the research and investigation conducted by former British Intelligence agent Edward Alexander Crowley, who says 666 is a sacred number of the Sun and related to the heart chakra or the psychic center in the chest which is also called the Christ Center.
Crowley himself preferred to be called Beast 666 based on his interpretation and result of his research.

666 means “your thoughts are out of balance right now, focused too much on the material world. This number sequence asks you to balance your thoughts between heaven and earth. Like the famous “Sermon on the Mount,” the angels ask you to focus on spirit and service, and know your material and emotional needs will automatically be met as a result.”
