Philippine’s Grandest Aliwan Fiesta @ Sweet 16

The Grandest Parade and Competition of all fiestas in the Philippines – Aliwan Fiesta turns 16 in 2018.

The Aliwan Fiesta tradition started in 2003 and it’s been consistent of  showcasing the fiestas of different provinces and witness them all in one BIG Fiesta event in Quirino Grandstand,  Manila and CCP Complex, Pasay. Contingents from different places in the country compete in three categories: Reyna ng Aliwan beauty pageant, Float Parade and Street Dance competition.

I remember the first time I took video footages of Aliwan Fiesta was in 2008 using my analog moibile phone camera, that’s why videos during that time had very poor qualities but regardless of this, it is always a treasure to document the historical event of Philippine culture, watching all the fiestas performances in an annual big occasion.

The following Aliwan videos have been shot using analog mobile phone cameras, compact digital cameras and the latest using smart phone digital cameras. You can see the progression or improvement of qualities.

The Aliwan Fiesta journey continues and I’m always excited to see the performance of all the contingents. Every performance is a masterpiece because every culture is treasured . See you all next year and in the succeeding years after.

Practical Shooting for Philippine Media Practitioners (Recommended)

Practical shooting is for all, but you need to invest your time and money for this sports. You need first your pistol at any caliber you like and can afford plus the ammunition both for target practice and main shooting events.

I strongly recommend acquiring any of these calibers (9MM, Cal. 40, 45ACP) and whatever brand you like most Glock, Armscor, Rock Island Armory, CZ, Jericho, XDs/XDm (I usually see these pistol brands in practicalk shooting events.)

Unlike the Pros (Competitive Shooters) who regularly visit the range for shooting practice, Most media shooters (like me) can only practice if there’s availability of ammunitions and most of the time, we just do some dry fire exercises before joining any official shooting event.

Come what may, I always invite every media practitioner to engage in practical shooting for sports and self-defense (protection).

Take note the surveys and researches being conducted that mediamen in the Philippines are always at risk in the performance of journalism profession.

You can join the PPSA Media Bureau under the supervision and all-out support of Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA) kudos to Mr. Jack Enrile, Mr. Rommel Cabungcal, Ms. Jingky Olisco and Mr. Joseph Li of Icarus Shirts.

PPSA Media Bureau is headed by top media shooter and manager Raoul Esperas and other members/officers: Orly Trinidad, Angelo Almonte, Toto Parina, Carlo Mateo, Walter Bollozos, Ferdie Pajarillo, Dindo Amparo, Raymund Dadpaas, Gerry Baja, Jojo Sadiwa, Gil Bugaoisan and me.

Are UFO’s Hiding in the Clouds?

I’ve been asking the same question again and again since I encountered UFO-shaped clouds in the Metropolis in the past.

Of course, I am aware of the different type of clouds in the skies such as  cumulosl, stratus, cirrus, lenticular and others, but there are many times I could feel something weird about strange clouds.

The Flashing UFO Phenomena

UFO lights

Experts say this is the Flashing UFO Phenomena

I sighted again another flashing bright object last night in the South Eastern horizon of Manila, Philippines.

I took my 12 MP Camera and filmed the bright object and took some still shots.

Of course you have different impressions or observations about the flashing bright object and i am not saying that this object is an alien craft hovering over metropolis though most people could see it as a UFO.

You can post your comments or any suggestion about this flashing bright object.

This is the fourth video i uploaded about this type of UFO Sighting.

There are videos below about my previous encounters with these Flashing UFOs.

The video below filmed last night, December 5, 2011

The video below was taken and posted on October 17, 2008
