I fully agree with the statement of an official of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) warning people against ‘contacting’ the souls of the dead using some tools like Ouija board and spirit of the glass.
Fr. Francisco Lucas, executive secretary of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines-Episcopal Commission on Social Communication and Mass Media says, “games like spirit of the glass to contact the dead are popular during Halloween.”
In my opinion, Fr. Lucas is also accurate warning people against such ‘Halloween games’ because contacting the spirits of the departed could end up being possessed.
Since I started my studies and counseling about Metaphysical, I always warn people not to engage with any kind of ‘seance’ activity using Ouija board, spirit of the coin, spirit of glass or channeling spirits because it could open up portals from low level dimensions or hellish levels inviting the spirit ghouls and demons.
Seance or contacting the spirits can only be done by trained people (not anybody) and being psychic is not an exemption unless you want to suffer a life with negative spirits or legion of bad spirits inside your body or the worst case scenario, your soul is forcibly taken from your physical body and trapped in the hellish environment.
If you’ve watch the movie Constantine starred by Keanu Reeves, it is a portrayal of a hellish environment where souls are trapped though another movie Insidious also portray an alternate reality of the spiritual realm where souls of the living or the ‘astral body’ can be trapped indefinitely.
The worst case of demonic possession could manifest once the demonic type entity has the full control of the ‘vessel’ which is the physical body of a victim.
In an interview published in major dailies, Fr. Lucas says, “bad spirits are everywhere, the very reason of exorcists are here to cast them away.”
He said people should pray for the dead instead of inviting, invoking or provoking them to avoid any consequence.
It is better to just let them rest in peace but if your dead relatives have something to tell you, let them come to you whether you’re awake or in dreams.
Fr. Lucas also warned people not to wear amulets (agimat, anting-anting), another way the demons could possess a person.
The CBCP official says the number of possessions in the Philippines is now at alarming level where most victims are children citing recent reports of possessions in Mandaluyong City, and in the Visayas excluding unreported individual cases in many parts of the country.
“In the Philippines, if you ask experts on exorcism, they’ll tell you that the cases have been increasing,” Fr. Lucas said.
He advised people to be always on guard against evil possessions by wearing sacred symbols or prayer.
“Always carry with you sacred objects such as a scapular, a rosary or St. Benedict’s medal, which are truly effective especially when blessed by a priest,”he added.
Thanks to Fr. Lucas for airing such warnings against contacting the spirits of the dead and not wearing amulets especially those feed with ‘oracion’ and i fully agree with the CBCP offficial.
I remember spiritual healer Bro. Emil told me he has encountered many times people with “sapi” and healed them. He advised people not to wear or carry amulets if you’re not sure where the source of it’s power come from or else you suffer the worst consequences from ‘cursed amulets.’
