During my visit together with a group of psychics/clairvoyants, a ghost of white dressed-nun came out peeping at the main door, and a headless apparition of priest just appeared on the left upper window beside the main entrance of the hotel. I didn’t see the ghost of the nun and the headless priest, but in my mind’s eye I could see their presence and other ghostly figures slowly moving towards the windows of the hotel.
One of the psychics told me, a black lady ghost came out of the hotel and suddenly appeared beside us at the parking area of the property. There was also a child ghost walking outside of the hotel, not sure if it was one child or could be many of them, randomly moving around us it was known that numerous babies and children were massacred at the fountain of the hotel.
Before we reach the front area of the hotel, one of the psychics told us she saw a ghost of a man wearing barong shouting at us “umalis na kayo” (go away). I could assume this was the ghost of businessman, psychic surgeon and spiritual healer Tony Agpaoa, who died after heart attack inside the hotel in 1987. Agpaoa managed Diplomat Hotel’s operation right after it was renovated in 1973.
Despite it’s dark history, Diplomat Hotel is always at the radar of tourists with its panoramic and picturesque spots, while ghost hunters often visit the ruins of the hotel for some real encounters of the paranormal activities.
